Potentiometer for Philips F8x82a

Thanks Ben for your reply, will check the potmeter to see if it can be repaired, anyways if there is some available to buy would be great. Regarding the Stabilitone, the sliders work fine, they are clean and lubricated, only the three center ones in Stabilitone mode produce no sound, that made me think on the potmeter, selecting Parola and Fidelitá it works OK....

This radio is a B8x72a and here is a suggestion.
Potentiometer repair.
The volume potentiometer of a B8x72a that was to be repaired cracked and was opened.
The potentiometer was then cleaned in a jam jar with alcohol.
There is a narrow gap between the carbon strip into which the copper spring can sink.
The carbon pin has been removed and a piece of copper wire inserted between the crack.
The copper wire is then quickly soldered through the hole where the carbon pin used to be.
Together with a little bit of acid-free Vaseline it works again. (see the pictures)
The stabilitone push buttons are connected to sliding switches with cables.
I would first clean these slide switches, also with methylated spirit or alcohol.

Hello Friends,

I am needing a main potentiometer for the radio of a Philips F8x82a, the one on the console is shorted and does not cut correctly. It is part number B163953 58. type M1+M1+M8Log. Please let me know if anyone has something like this available, also the one that comands the stabilitone seems to not be working correctly, as I have no sound coming out when selecting the Stabilitone push buttons.... any suggestions about this too are very wlecome.
