Ik heb het helemaal niet over oppervlakkig gehad trouwens.
Lees maar na.
Ik heb alleen geschreven dat de typisch Amerikaanse formule me niet aanspreekt met al dat gebabbel.
En natuurlijk hebben ze de docu op hun site gezet. Zou jij ook doen als je een bedrijf hebt en de NPO maakt daar een docu over.
De prijs is ongetwijfeld Amerikaans. Ik ga het niet eens nazoeken.

Er is trouwens een erg leuke FB groep van Blue Note.

Mira Film and Eagle Rock Entertainment have announced the start of the US theatrical rollout for the award-winning documentary Blue Note Records: Beyond the Notes – directed by Sophie Huber. The feature documentary premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2018, has played at over 50 international film festivals, and recently came out to critical acclaim in the UK and Canada. The deep dive into one of the most renowned jazz record labels will hit US screens starting on June 14 in New York at the Metrograph, and June 28 in Los Angeles at the Laemmle Monica. Voor een aardige afsluiting bij wijze van spreken.

Wel, volgens mij is de muziek bij BN in al zijn variaties ruim aan bod geweest. Tot aan het moeilijk toegankelijke genre van Monk aan toe. Ook het feit dat er de eerste jaren geen $ werd verdiend, en dat dat ook niet het doel van de oprichters was, is aan bod gekomen. En ook dat het na de overname door Liberty langzaam bergafwaarts ging.
Alle belangrijke facetten zijn dus genoemd. Ook de revival deze eeuw en hun invloed op de hiphop. Dat jij daar niet van houdt is jouw zaak natuurlijk, maar is wel een gegeven wat van belang is te weten.
En nogmaals, het beeldmateriaal was een lust om naar te kijken en luisteren.
Helemaal volledig in 50 minuten kan natuurlijk niet. Lukt zelfs de BBC Arena niet. Misschien dat Netflix er ooit een serie over maakt. Stel het ze voor zou ik zeggen :lol:
